WORKSHOP, FOCUS GROUPS & TECHNICAL CONFERENCES
Over 40 years ago, the Environmental Research Institute of Michigan (ERIM) founded the International Symposia on Remote Sensing of Environment, which began in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The technology of remote sensing began to spread rapidly throughout the world when the First International Symposium on Remote Sensing of Environment was held. The presence of renowned scientists helped make these meetings an important forum for disseminating remote sensing technology. Today, as a descendant of ERIM, the Michigan Tech Research Institute (MTRI) is building a first-rate reputation in sponsoring and conducting conferences in remote sensing technologies, workshops, focus groups, stakeholder meetings, and other technical conferences. MTRI is planning to continue ERIM’s tradition of being a conference sponsor and host, and contributing to high-technology information transfer, by administering several series of technical conferences including:
- International Conference on Remote Sensing for Marine and Coastal Environments
- International Conference on Geospatial Information in Agriculture and Forestry
- Applied Geologic Remote Sensing Conference
- International Airborne Remote Sensing Conference and Exhibition
